KENDALL CURTIS

SOCIAL CHAIR

I am a Junior, studying Political Science minoring in Gender Studies. I am very passionate about gender equality and it is my dream to one day work in India for women’s rights. Besides being a part of Pre-Law Society, I am also a member of International Justice Mission Baylor, BearsforOrphans, and the Baylor Vegetarian Club. I enjoy playing, hiking, reading and of course, coffee. As Public Relations Chair, I work to publicize the many activities of PLS. This entails keeping members and our social media pages updated on club events such as meetings, special guests, fun socials, and member accomplishments. My favorite part is promoting PLS to the rest of the Baylor community, working with the rest of our great officers to expand membership and really get PLS’s name out there. Be sure to go follow @baylorpls!

My name is Kendall Curtis and I’m a sophmore concentrating in Psychology and International Studies. I’m from Mansfield, Texas, and I love adventuring, coffee, and music. In my spare time, I write, play guitar, and (of course) watch Parks and Rec and The Office on Netflix. I love people so I want to dedicate my life to helping others through law. I hope to work in public law or working for a nonprofit, and I’ve always wanted to travel. As the Academic Development Officer in the Baylor Pre-Law, I check in to make sure everyone’s doing well in classes, organize study groups, and help keep academics on track in whatever way I can. I’m so happy to play a role in such an important part of success as a prelaw student, and I hope I can make a difference in this organization! I’m so excited to get involved and help build this community!

ROZI HOVHANNISYAN

SERVICE CHAIR

I am a Junior, International Studies Major and a Political Science Minor. I am from Frisco, TX in the DFW area. I plan on graduating with my Bachelor's from Baylor, attending law school, and hopefully working for the government or the UN as an international analyst. In the future, I hope to make my way to International Human Rights Law. In my free time, I love to read, to go on hikes, cook, run, watch Netflix, go on road trips, explore new cities and foods, and I love to dance. My inspiration stems from those who work as human rights activists and I hope to help make a change (I know, it's cliche) regarding crimes against humanity. I hope to be able to apply myself in helping others through service, justice, and in providing aid to those in need internationally. I believe my first step towards this goal is by starting locally through the position of service chair for Baylor Pre-Law Society. As service chair I plan events in which all PLS members are able to participate in, in order to provide community service/aid for the Waco community. This includes such events such as the Mission Waco Legal Advice Clinic every month, Steppin Out', fundraising, and other community events. I hope to encourage all to be involved in their community! Follow me on social media (P.S. I always follow back)!

I am a Senior, University Scholar with concentration in biology.  Currently, I am working on an honors thesis project in dendrochronology.  I volunteer at the Cameron Park Zoo to share my enthusiasm for biology with others. I am interested in a career in environmental law because I think it can combine my scientific interests and my desire to serve others. I love learning, traveling, being outdoors, and giraffes.

I am inspired by the opportunity to help others learn more about law school and how to apply.  Baylor Pre-Law Society is a great resource for anyone interested in a career in law and I am excited to be a part of it.

My duties as treasurer include taking up dues and creating budgets for Baylor Pre-Law Society.

I am a Senior, Political Science and Philosophy, double major from Salem, Oregon. I enjoy to run, play volleyball, and explore. I got interested in law at a young age when I sat in on my first trial. Watching a lawyer defend someone was as if I was seeing Superman. Since then, I viewed becoming a lawyer my opportunity to help others achieve a better life. As Scholarship Chair, my position gives students an opportunity to advance their law careers. The scholarship awarded to a lucky students will help them pay for the LSAT prep course that will prepare them for the Law School Admissions Test. As Scholarship Chair, I oversee all scholarship applications, award the recipient with the award, contact Kaplan and thank them for their generous gift, and much more. I am a Junior, Political Science major and Business Administration minor with a pre-law concentration. My hometown is Pearland, TX, right around the Houston area. In my free time, I love writing, traveling, watching Netflix, trying new foods, and baking. My goal is to graduate a semester early with a Bachelor’s and BUAD degree, then head off to law school and work towards becoming a criminal lawyer. It is my dream to be able to work in a profession where I can speak and defend those who have been wrongly accused of a crime they did not commit.  I believe that serving as Scholarship Chair and being involved in an organization such as Pre-Law Society will help prepare me for my future career in the legal field. As Scholarship Chair, it is my job to keep track of any scholarships that become available, raise enough money to create a scholarship specifically made for Pre- Law Society members and award and organize study groups before exams such as midterms and finals. Along with scholarship, I am also in charge of all membership in the organization. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to email me at Diana_Le@baylor.edu.
